1.    Department competition planning. In order to arousing students' enthusiasm to participate in the competition, the department planned the competition in the semester and determined the starting meeting of the competition. The meeting was attended by college leaders, teachers from the department of Internet of things, and all students from the center for creation of things.

2.    Prepare for the fifth "wonderful lesson" teaching competition. In order to improve teachers' ability of effective education and teaching, The iot engineering department selects two or more teachers to participate in the teaching competition of the college, which consists of three parts: classroom teaching reform and achievements, teaching design, and classroom teaching demonstration.

3.    Professional researching. The teacher of iot engineering department researched the Hao Meijia technology company. Chongqing Hao Meijia technology company mainly research and development, production, management, after-sales service as one of the fingerprint lock company. At the same time, researching and developing the remote monitoring and other smart home products is closely related to the professional education of iot engineering and industry education.

4.    In order to standardize the course materials, we need to rectify the materials including the courses of Internet of things engineering at level 15-17. The person in charge of each course is selected by Song Miao, and the rectification includes teaching outline, examination outline, course schedule, etc.

Vice President Xie Zhenglan made a speech at the end of the meeting, she mentioned that the iot engineering department has a heavy task this semester, including the construction of characteristic majors, the initiation of new engineering professional certification, and the rectification of standardized materials, etc. Combining the construction goals and task division of the school of computer science, the iot engineering department's goals are refined, and the responsibility is transferred to teachers. Iot engineering construction is a heavy task, and the requirements for teachers are getting higher and higher. Let's work together to build the major into a first-class major.
