Sheng Youxing, deputy secretary of the party committee of the university, attended the meeting. More than 8,300 students from the student affairs office of the university, the student administrators of the secondary colleges, the 2017 students of Nanquan campus and the 2018 students of Shuangqiao campus attended the meeting.

This activity is divided into three parts, the first is the flag-raising ceremony, in the solemn and grand national song, all teachers and students facing the flag slowly raised line eye salute. After that, six teachers and students, including Zhang Jingdong, a teacher from the general education college, and Zhou Fangyu, a student from the civil engineering college, who won the 2018 national scholarship of our university, made speeches respectively with the themes of "gratitude for peers, pursuing dreams all the way", "we are all dreamers" and "no struggle, no youth". Delegates combined with their own experience and learning experience, should actively respond to Xi Jinping said general secretary's call to mind the dignity of the country, remember the responsibility of the society to give, remember expected of parents, remember the teacher give teachings, to be a happy motivator.

At last, Sheng Youxing, deputy secretary of the party committee of the university, made a summary speech. Secretary Sheng advocated students to read more books, learn how to read and read good books through his own reading experience, so as to broaden the learning horizon, strengthen character cultivation and enhance comprehensive strength through long-term reading. Secretary Sheng also stressed that in the struggle to release the passion of youth, the pursuit of youth dream, to the youth of me, I struggle to pave the way for national rejuvenation, for the construction of the motherland.
