Vice President Changhua Cheng, vice President Qionghua Wang, secretary of the commission for discipline inspection and chairman of the labor union Xiaoyong Tang attended the meeting, and more than 200 representatives from the general party branch secretary of the secondary colleges, the chairmen of the grass-roots labor unions and other staff and workers attended the meeting.

After the meeting began, vice President Qionghua Wang read out the decision of the labor union committee of Chongqing institute of engineering on awarding 10 comrades such as Chuanmei Wan the title of "March 8th red flag bearer". Vice President Changhua Cheng , vice President Qionghua Wang, secretary of the discipline inspection commission and chairman of the labor union Xiaoyong Tang  presented the award to the delegates of "March 8th red flag bearer" in 2019. The award on behalf of, respectively is a computer college teachers Chuan mei Wan , software college teachers Xin CHEN, electronic information institute Cuijin Li, Jing Zhou, counselor of digital art college, School of civil engineering teacher Xuewei An , school of management teacher  Bo Zhao, Shuangqiao campus teacher Xia Gao, Shuangqiao campus teacher Baolian Yin, science and technology section chief Dongmei Xia , recruitment and employment office comprehensive section chief Guomei Fu.

After the award ceremony, vice President Changhua Cheng , on behalf of the school, expressed congratulations to all the "March 8th red flag bearers" who were honored, and extended sincere greetings to all female faculty and workers in the school. Over the past year, female staff members have made outstanding contributions to various teaching reforms, Cheng stressed. President Cheng also said that in the New Year, the university will take "cultivating talents by virtue" as the fundamental task of talent cultivation, and create "a distinctive high-level engineering university" as the goal of the university's development. It is hoped that the faculty and staff of the university can continue to play a role of role models, and do a solid job in teaching, scientific research, service management and other work, in order to create a "distinctive high-level university of engineering and technology" and efforts.
