This net news (Text/library Shiyong Tang, picture/school press corps) In order to enrich the extracurricular life of teachers and students, create a strong reading atmosphere, and create a cultural brand of "scholarly campus", the fifth reading festival of "new era · new reading" of Chongqing Institute of Engineering opened at 8:30 am on April 23 in the library of Nanquan campus.

That morning, outside the No. 2 gate of the library, there were six publicity booths of "campus network database", the site staff tooks the initiative to introduce the network digital resources in the library to readers to experience digital reading. In the lobby of the first floor of the library, a new book fair with the theme of "I will pay for your book" was held, people's literature, writers, science, tsinghua, people's education, people's post, machinery industry, construction industry and other major publishers in recent years the latest published books had appeared. In addition, a themed signature wall was prepared for the activity. Teachers and students could sign their names on the themed wall named "new era · new reading" after entering the library. Readers could experience the whole process of book interview, cataloguing and processing while reading books. Nearly 1,000 readers took part in the event,  the "weekend cinema" exhibition of hand-painted posters was held simultaneously.

This series of activities will last until early June, previous poetry competition heats, “super star cup "film dubbing competition, the first national" library cup "national English speaking talent show, "elegant art into the campus - Chinese painting exhibition" and other activities have been held. After that, there will also be cultural activities such as Chongqing development history photo exhibition, poetry competition, "reading and dream building" essay competition, micro-book review competition, digital resources lecture series, and classic reading guide lecture series.
