Teachers and students of CQIE sang "Me and My Motherland" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China

No matter where I go, a hymn comes out...” At 6:30 a.m. on September 11th, the song came over Nanquan Campus of Chongqing Institute of Engineering with its melodious and exciting melody. More than 500 students and teachers from 24 majors in 6 colleges of the University participated in the shooting together, one by one with vigorous and energetic smiling faces, one by one with spiritual trembling and high-spirited figures, which were fixed on this memorable day.

Since March this year, in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, colleges and universities across the country spontaneously organized online singing activities called “Youth , for the motherland ”. After more than two months of preparation , our university officially started filming the short film “Me and My motherland” in mid-September. The film was broadcast synchronously on the official Wechat account, official Weibo account, Headlines Today, Netease, Sohu and other platforms of Chongqing Institute of Engineering.

At the beginning of the film, in the beautiful and quiet cemetery of Nanquan revolutionary martyrs, accompanied by pleasant birds sounds, reading voices of “Praise of Red Plum” withe heart led us back into the heroic era. A group of students dressed in the clothes of the Republic of China slowly walked under the monument of martyrs, solemnly, remembering the heroes. Then, with the words of “seventy years of motherland, ten years of camphor, a kind of spiritual inheritance, eternal immortality, long-lasting and inspiring future generations, running through the past, the present and the future, the so-called Red Rock Spirit”, Guoqing Gui interpreted the spiritual cohesion of CQIE teachers and students to inherit the great national spirit, to inspire the Red Rock Spirit, to move forward and to pioneer and innovate.

Next, in the song of “Me and My Motherland”, the passionate deduction of CQIE teachers and students showed the new appearance of Chongqing Institute of Engineering’s campus in recent years, which is full of vigor and youth. The military training ground is full of grace and splendor, as well as rich and colorful classroom teaching and community activities. The motto of “conscientiousness, trustworthiness, excellence and innovation” and the goal of  “cultivating high-level engineering and technical personnel for the society” have also become the highlights of the military training ground, as well as the rich and colorful classroom teaching and community activities. Finally, more than 500 CQIE teachers and students, led by the president, shouted in unison: Happy birthday to our motherland!

The whole propaganda film begins with a catchy recitation of the reading of “Praise of Red Plum”, and the footage also ends at the Martyrs’Cemetery in Nanquan, Chongqing. What is the implication? Speaking of such conceptual planning, the relevant person in charge of Chongqing Institute of Engineering said that the Red Rock Spirit is an important part of the Chinese revolutionary spirit and a valuable spiritual wealth of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese nation. At the same time, it is the unique embodiment of the anti-Japanese spirit in Chongqing.  “ Our university is located in Nanquan. During the Anti-Japanese War, it was the Anti-Japanese War Command Center of the Republic Government. The first shot to liberate Chongqing was fired here. Therefore, in this land with profound revolutionary history and culture, we should inherit the red gene, carry forward the spirit of red rock, and let the red gene and excellent cultural blood of the Chinese nation rooted in the hearts of every teacher and student ”.

As one of the chorus performers, Jieying Jin, a sophomore majoring in financial management, said: “In the shooting process, although the hot weather has brought a lot of trouble to staff and performers, but everyone actively participated, I believe that with this joint effort, the effect of the film will be great.” Like Jieying Jin , Mingyu Dai , a Junior Chorus actor, also felt the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of everyone during the shooting process: “ It’s cool for the university to use such a patriotic promotional film to present the 70th birthday of the motherland ! I’m very excited to be one of them.

As one of the series activities of Chongqing Institute of Engineering celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, the shooting of this promotional film has received strong support from the leaders and staff of the whole university . Guoqing Gui said: “It’s a great honor for me to be born on the same day as New China. I have a special feeling of kindness to my motherland, and I deserve stronger patriotism. In this day of national celebration, all the teachers and students of our university work together to overcome the difficulties in the shooting process. It is very meaningful to offer birthday wishes to our motherland with the loud song of youth.
