It’s coming! The Sixth Culture and Art Festival of Chongqing Institute of Engineering officially opened

Party secretary of Banan District Committee of the Communist Youth League of Chongqing Dingyang La, Secretary of the Party committee and executive vice president Yeping Zhang, vice president Qionghua Wang, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and chairman of the labor union Xiaoyong Tang, assistant president Jiandong Wang and other leaders attended the meeting. Representatives of soldiers from Jieshi fire brigade, Banan District, Representatives teachers and students from Rongzhi College of Chongqing Technology and Business University, Representatives teachers and students from Chongqing Culture and Art Vocational College were invited to the scene, with more than 1500 teachers and students of Chongqing Institute of Engineering gathered together to watch a wonderful audio-visual feast. The opening ceremony was presided over by Huang Yan, Minister of student affairs.

First of all, Jiandong Wang, assistant to the president, interpreted the implementation plan of the Sixth Culture and Art Festival. He introduced that the theme of this Culture and Art Festival is “Youth to the Party, Building A New Era”. The activity lasts from today to December 25th. The purpose of this Campus Culture and Art Festival is to implement the policy of “Four Integration and One Combination” of quality education for college students. We hope that students of Chongqing Institute of Engineering can actively participate in the activities of the festival and know yourself, discover yourself, and improve yourself.

Later, Yeping Zhang, Secretary of the Party committee and executive vice president of the University, delivered a speech. He said that the university had always attached great importance to the construction of campus culture and the education of culture and art. In addition, it has taken the cultivation of College Students’ cultural connotation and artistic accomplishment as an important part of talent cultivation. Since 2014, our school has successfully held five cultural and art festivals. Students have been influenced by culture and art by participating in various activities. It is hoped that under the coordination of the organizing committee, all units of the school could actively participate in the festival with enthusiasm, and meet the challenges with an innovative attitude, so as to jointly make the festival a high-grade, high-level and high-quality cultural feast. With the roar of cannon salute and loud music, Secretary Zhang announced that the Sixth Culture and Art Festival of Chongqing Institute of Engineering was officially opened, Yu Li, the instructor of the fire brigade of Banan District, came on stage to deliver the banner to our school, and Wei Shang, the Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of our school, took the banner on behalf of the school.

Then, the wonderful evening party was put on. The party closely followed the theme of “Youth to the Party, Building A New Era”, covering poetry recitation, dance performance, original rap and other forms of programs. The poetry recitation “Different Age, Different Youth” brought by the college students’ art troupe of our university not only recited the theme of the party, but also displayed the youth image of CQIE in the new era full of youth and ready to go.

The college students’ art troupe of Chongqing University of Technology and Industry presented the dance performance: Hometown in the Dream. The dancers jumped out of youth and vitality, passion and dream on the stage and ignited the atmosphere of the party.

In addition, the singing and dancing performances “Don’t Forget the Initial Heart”, “Today is Your Birthday”, songs of “the Voice of the Times”, the original rap “Wu Meng Shan” and other programs also appeared one by one, showing the CQIE spirit “Conscientious, Trustworthy, Refined and Innovative” .

At the end of the activity, the Student’ Art Troupe and the students of Software Institute brought the collective chorus “the New World” and “the Feeling of Camphor”. The singing was strong and full of passion. They sang the vigorous and courageous spirit of CQIE students, and the development direction of “Charming Personality, Powerful Specialty, Vigorous Learning and Dynamic Development”.

During the activity , the leaders also presented awards to the student representatives who were awarded “Excellent Individual” and “Excellent Team” in the series of theme education activities of “Me and My Motherland” of Chongqing Institute of Engineering, as well as “Characteristic Dormitory” and “Civilized Dormitory” in the 2019 selection activity of civilized apartment and civilized dormitory of Chongqing ordinary universities.

The opening ceremony party came to an end with warm applause and cheers.
