The Foreign Language Teaching Department of General Education Institute has Achieved Many Good Results in Municipal English Skills Competition

Net news (article/photo The Foreign Language Teaching Department of General Education Institute) In the autumn of October, there was a lot of good news from the foreign language teaching department of general education institute of our school, and they has achieved many good results.

On the afternoon of October 29th, 2019 the 29th Chongqing College Students' English Speaking, Writing, Reading Competition and 2019 "Foreign Research Institute, National Talent Cup" national English Speaking, Writing, Reading Contest of Chongqing was held in Chongqing Institute of Technology, with a total of nine contestants of our school with fruitful harvest for the first time: two second prize and two third prize of English writing; four third prize of English reading ; one third prize of English speech contest.

On October 27th, the tenth "foreign research association cup national higher vocational college English writing competition" was held in Chongqing Vocational and Technical College. A total of 56 contestants from 27 universities participated in the competition. Through the selection of preliminary contest, Can Yang from Software Institute and Xue Yang from Management Institute were selected to participate in the competition. After several rounds of competition, Xue Yang won the second prize in Chongqing and Can Yang won the third prize in Chongqing.

On October 26th, the department of foreign language education selected  the best nine students in English in our school, they were led by Baolian Yin, Fang Yao and Qi Kuang, and competed with undergraduate and graduate students from Chongqing University, Southwest University, Sichuan International Studies University and nearly 30 colleges and universities in Chongqing (for English majors and non-English majors). After the intense competition and final review, all the students in our school has won prizes.

This competition will help improve students' English writing ability and application ability, and promote teachers' teaching innovation. The awards of several rounds of municipal foreign language competitions not only reflect the school's achievements in deepening education and teaching reform and adhering to the concept of general education, but also continuously strengthen the confidence and determination to improve the quality of talent training.
