The competition was organized by the International Skating Federation and held by China Figure Skating Association, Chongqing Sports Bureau and Chongqing Banan District Government. A total of about 60 athletes from China, Hong Kong, Canada, Russia, Japan, Korea and other countries or regions take part in this match. During the competition, Ruxin Guo & Shushan Wang from Digital Arts Institute, Yuhan Jiang & Minrui Wang from Civil Engineering Institute, Zenghong Tan, Tian Tian, Dongmei Li, Xiaoying Liu & Wei Cai from Management Institute volunteered as oral translators for the competition after several selections. They are responsible for reception and oral translation of the athletes. This job is not easy. It requires volunteers to pass the college English level 4 examination with better oral English skills and strong communication skills. In addition, volunteers should have a strong resilience to help athletes from all over the world to solve competition problems in the first time, including helping players to prepare for pre-match warm-up preparation, preparing for process guidance and reporting scores during the competition. In this competition, the famous Russian athlete Anna Shcherbakova, with the full assistance of our volunteers, won the first ranking in the ladies single skating program. Anna was very satisfied with the volunteer's performance, and she thanked the volunteers after the race. China's men single skating project contestant Boyang Jin and Han Yan also under the service of volunteers got the first and second ranking of good performance. Japanese player Satoko Miyahara appraised highly of the volunteers’ work during the match interview. Thanks to their warm help and attentive service which helped her to solve her worries so that she could devote herself to the competition.

After the race, athletes from all over the world thanked the volunteers for overcoming the communication barriers and realizing zero barriers to communication. The director of the sports bureau of Banan District of Chongqing gave a very high evaluation to the overall performance of our students. And he thanked all the volunteers. This volunteer work has won the strong affirmation by the organizing committee of the competition.
