The Course "BIM Modeling Technology Application" of Civil Engineering Institute Has Been Put into Use on The Online Open Course Platform of Colleges and Universities in Chongqing

Net news (Article/Photo Yunying Mao)On December 2nd, the online course "Application of BIM Modeling Technology" meticulously created by the institute of civil engineering was officially launched and put into use on the online open course platform of Chongqing universities. The application of BIM modeling technology is a compulsory basic course for civil engineering, engineering management, engineering cost and other related majors. The course contents include introduction to BIM, knowledge of BIM software and hardware, Revit 2019 architectural modeling, establishment and management of Revit family library, etc. The aim is to enable students to master the basic principles of BIM technology, the methods and steps of BIM building modeling, and lay a foundation for the subsequent study of other professional courses.

The institute of civil engineering is committed to the course teaching reform to improve the teaching quality. After repeated research and practice, the traditional face to face teaching of BIM modeling technology application is not enough to stimulate students' interest in learning and to mobilize students' initiative in learning. Online courses can promote students' spontaneous, self-conscious, in anytime & anywhere, fragmented learning, easy to promote students to optimize the use of learning time, to cultivate learning interest. After more than two years of research and practice, the teaching team of this course has completed the arrangement and production of the course learning materials and related course resources, and applied for the municipal online course and successfully launched. The course is launched using marked that the college teaching reform has entered the stage of practice, keeping trying and optimizing improvement to provide more high-quality learning resources & better services for professionals in the field of architectural information, and make contributions to build a learning organization and society.
