Shuangqiao Campus Organizes Teachers and Students to Participate
in the Activities of Caring Blood Donation

Net news (article, photo/Linjing Liu, Youth League Committee of Shuangqiao campus) From November 21st to 24th, the Volunteer Department of Shuangqiao campus of our university and Dazu District Blood Center held volunteer blood donation in front of the report hall of Shuangqiao Campus, and a love upsurge of free blood donation was set off. This activity has attracted a lot of teachers and students to sign up, a total of 1324 person participated in the blood donation activities and actively contributed their love to the society.

The blood donation activity site is divided into registration area, physical examination area, blood donation area, rest area and license area, nearly 100 volunteers of student union of Shuangqiao campus worked in shifts to provide services for students who came to donate blood. Before the blood donation, staff are required to fill in real health information to determine whether they meet the requirements. In the registration area and rest area, there are also donation brochures for students to collect, letting students learn about blood donation while waiting and resting. Students who have completed blood donation got certificate in the license area. Besides, the school also prepared a “love pack” of milk, biscuits, bread and other nutritional supplies for the students who donated blood.

With the cooperation of the Youth League Committee in the campus, 457 teachers and students successfully participated in and completed blood donation this time, the blood donation volume exceeded 122600cc, the effect exceed the expectation, and the blood donation activity was successful. Leaders at all levels of Dazu District blood center of Chongqing praised highly of this activity and expressed their affirmation of blood donation work in our school. The campaign also increased the popularity of free blood donation, more people have been called on to join the ranks of volunteers who donate blood free of charge, so as to pass on love through action relay.
