                      Love in CQIE, Warm in Home Road

"In the beginning of 2020, Chongqing Institute of Engineering carried out a series of winter vacation activities of " love in heavy industryCQIE, warm home road ". The Secretary of the general Party branch of each college led the counselor teachers to escort the students with family economic difficulties back home for the Spring Festival. Teachers visited students' homes in Wanzhou, Wushan, Qijiang, Kaizhou and other places in Chongqing successively, understood their family situation carefully, exchanged their school situation with their parents, and sent a new year's sympathy to families with financial difficulties on behalf of the school.

On January 13, Xiaowei Guo, a counselor of the Institute of electronic information, visited Sanzheng village, Fenshui town, Wanzhou, and came to Jing Tang's home. Jing Tang lived with her grandparents since childhood. Their parents are nearly 80 years old. The old couple still docouple still does what they can to earn income to supply Tang Jing with books. Grandpa and grandma are very happy to learn about Tang Jing's performance in school. Grandma hopes that the school can train Tang Jing well and become a useful person for the society in the future.

From January 11 to 14, yYuan Weixia, a counselor of the College of electronic information, came to the home of Hongxiang Yang, a student from Wuxi County, Chongqing to offer condolences. Hongxiang Yang is an orphan. He lives with his grandfather in his 70s. His family has no financial resources. However, Hongxiang Yang is smart and sensible, with excellent results in school, and works seriously and responsibly as a class discipline committee member. Grandpa Yang was verymuch moved and expressed his gratitude to the school. On January 7, Lei Shi, head of Digital Media Technology Department of digital art college, and Wang Granul, counselor, went to Qijiang district to open the middle school and came to Wang Tingxian's home. Tingxian Wang divorced her parents when she was a child. Her father had to take care of her grandparents besides raising her and her younger brother. In 2018, his father suffered from gouty synovitis and lost his labor force. In order to reduce the family burden, Tingxian Wang made use of his spare time in school to earn living expenses. During his senior year, he also won the opportunity to work as a computer teacher in Qijiang district. During this home visit, director Shi gave suggestions for Wang Tingxian's next study and career development, and sent condolences on behalf of the school. Tingxian Wang also expressed his gratitude to the school for its concern and help all the time, and would certainly make serious efforts in the future.

On January 15, Tao Liu, director of Digital Media Art Department of digital art college and Nian Liu, counselor, visited Qiuyu Zhang, student, group 48, group 1, Zhuangzi Village, Yihe Town, Fuling District. Zhang's family is a local card building poor family. His father died of cancer. His mother also suffered from serious uterine diseases. There is also a younger brother in his family who is studying in University. His economic conditions are difficult. On January 11, Yanling Zeng, a counselor of the school of management, went to Xinli Town, Zhongxian County to send Meilin Du, a student, home for a home visit. The parents and grandparents died one after another, and there was a younger sister in the family. The two sisters lived in the neighbor's house together. On January 13, Song Chao, director of the E-commerce Teaching and research section of the school of management, and Liu Linghui, counselor, visited Cheng Shiqing's family. After more than four hours' driving, the teachers arrived at bai'anba security village, Wanzhou District. Shiqing Cheng was adopted by a couple of orphaned elderly people since childhood. His grandmother died in 2018. His grandfather is over 80 years old. His students have excellent performance in school. He has won the first-class excellent scholarship and national inspirational scholarship. He also works in the national exchange office and work study center of the school. On the afternoon of January 8, Xie Jian, deputy dean of the College of computer and Internet of things, and Jingdong Zhang, deputy director of the college's student studio, paid a visit to Shan Yi's family. Shan Yi's family lives in Huangni village, Lishui Town, Qianjiang District, nearly six hours' drive from the school. Last year, Shan Yi's mother suffered a brain attack and repeatedly went to the intensive care unit. His father also took care of his wife at home. The family has paid hundreds of thousands of yuanYuan for medical expenses. On January 12, Guocai Yang, Dean of the school of computer and Internet of things, and Han Mengjie, counselor, visited the home of Donglin Yang, a student. His father died when he was a child. His mother raised two children and took care of his grandmother by herself. The family was under great economic pressure. Donglin Yang and his brother's tuition and living expenses all depend on their mother's odd jobs in the town to make money. After learning about the situation, the college sent the Spring Festival consolation money to Yang Donglin's family, hoping that they could have a warm spring festival.

"New year brings warmth, and the true love spreads for thousands of miles"

Neither of his parents has a fixed income. His family is under great economic pressure. "Winterwinter vacation to send warmth" has always been the primary work of our school at the beginning of the new year. The life of the students with family difficulties affects everyone's heart in the school. It is this concern that allows teachers to visit all over the country in the cold winter months, and make their own efforts to bring a warm, send a blessing and convey a joy to every family.
