2020 (the 13th Session) Chongqing Municipal Competition of Computer Design Competition for Chinese College Students was Successfully Concluded in Chongqing Institute of Engineering

Net news (Article/Photo Academic Affairs Office Xing Zhang) On June 21st, 2020 (the 13rd session) Chongqing Municipal Competition of Computer Design Competition for Chinese College Students came to an end in our school, 505 teams from 20 universities, including Chongqing University, Southwest University, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Chongqing University of Technology, Chongqing University of Science and Technology, Chongqing Normal University and Chongqing Jiaotong University, competed together, competing for the finals. A total of 119 teams stood out in the fierce competition, won a seat in the national finals.

Chinese College Students Computer Design Competition (4C for short)  is organized by the Teaching Steering Committee of Computer Major in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, Software Engineering teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, College Computer Course Instruction Steering Committee of Ministry of Education, College Computer Basic Teaching Guidance Sub-committee of the Ministry of Education, China Education Television and China Youth New Media Association, which has been held for 12 sessions so far.

The competition is co-sponsored by the Organizing Committee of Chinese College Students Computer Design Competition and Chongqing Computer Society, and undertaken by Chongqing Institute of Engineering.

We have learned that the Computer design competition of Chinese college students is carried out in the form of three-level competition, from the school level preliminary competition to the provincial finals and then to the national finals, which aims at serving the needs of students for social employment, students' professional development and the needs of cultivating students into innovative and entrepreneurial talents. The competition has been held since 2008 and is now the 13th, which mainly includes competitions of 14 projects including software application and development, micro-courses and teaching assistance, Internet of Things applications, big data, and artificial intelligence.

In this competition, each participating team focused on the creation background, design idea, technical implementation, effect display and other links, through online explanation and operation demonstration and other forms, explained the characteristics of the entries to the                 judges. The judges evaluated the creativity, presentation form, theme expression, practicality and technical analysis of the entries. Finally, 46 first prize works, 73 second prize works and 235 third prize works were selected. Chongqing Institute of Engineering, Chongqing University of Technology, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Chongqing Institute of Science and Technology won the Outstanding Organization Award.

It is worth mentioning that as the host of this competition Our school has achieved good results with the distinctive school-running characteristics of "school-enterprise cooperation and integration of production and education". We have won 9 first prizes and 10 second prizes, a total of 19 works, and will represent Chongqing to participate in the national finals, showing the excellent professional skills of our students.

Chongqing Institute of Engineering focuses on the orientation of running a school and the training scheme of high-quality applied innovative talents, through the "competition to promote teaching, competition to promote learning", and students' comprehensive ability & professional quality have been greatly improved. In the past three years, the school has organized students to participate in China's "Internet" college students' innovation and entrepreneurship competition, university bio-networking design competition, Chinese college students' computer design competition, national college digital art works competition, and Chinese college students' cross-border e-commerce innovation and entrepreneurship competition, and won more than 600 awards, ranking first among similar colleges and universities.

At the closing ceremony, Longfu Zhou, assistant to the president of Chongqing Institute of Engineering, said this grand meeting in the field of computer design plays a positive role in promoting the development of related disciplines, improving the quality of personnel training, enhancing the level of scientific research and improving the level of serving the society. Assistant Zhou also said that the contest was held against the background of normal epidemic prevention and control, which is not easy. We will organize the contest and the closing ceremony in a combination of online and offline forms, and strictly follow the instructions of Chongqing for epidemic prevention and control, so as to ensure the success of the contest and make sure nothing is lost.

In addition, Yan Ma, vice President of the Chongqing Computer Society, said she expressed the hope that through this competition, college students' innovative ability and social competitiveness will be further enhanced, and their comprehensive ability to use information technology to solve practical problems will be enhanced, so as to train more applied talents for Chongqing.
