Mingshu Tan, secretary of the Party Committee, Yeping Zhang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and executive vice president, attended the opening ceremony. The relevant leaders of the Party Committee's Ministry of Education and Industry and the Youth League Committee, the leaders of the Party and League organizations of the secondary colleges and nearly 80 major student cadres of grade 2018 in Nanquan Campus attended the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony kicked off with the singing of the Communist Youth League. Yeping Zhang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and executive vice president, first delivered a speech, focusing on the purpose of elite youth league schools. He also asked the Communist Youth League cadres of the whole school to constantly improve their theoretical level and political literacy, and strengthen their work ability and professional level.

Tao Huang, secretary of the Youth League Committee, explained in detail the Implementation Plan of the 2020 Summer Key Training Course for College Students in Elite League School of Chongqing Institute of Engineering, and introduced the specific arrangement of this training work.

Speaker on behalf of Huiting Tian, said that she had studied the relationship among youth, country and times seriously, and hoped that the majority of student cadres could strive for youth and add luster to CQIE.

Mingshu Tan, secretary of the Party Committee, profoundly expounded how to become a young Marxist in the new era through four "musts", striving to improve his ideological theory and work ability, create a new situation in the work of the Communist Youth League, and make contributions to the rapid development of the school.

After the opening ceremony, Mingshu Tan gave the students the first class titled 《Youth Thought and Youth Work in the New Era》, telling about the birth process, development experience and innovative thinking of the Communist Youth League work under the background of the new era. He also pointed out that the CPC Central Committee has high trust and ardent expectations for the Communist Youth League, and that the cadres of the Communist Youth League in the new era should abide by the code of conduct, and hope that the majority of student cadres will practice high-strength skills, keep a pure heart forever, and strive to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
