The Student Department Held the 2020 Counselor on the Job Training and Learning Exchange Meeting

President Assistant Jiandong Wang and more than 20 new counselors attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the counselors exchanged and made speeches focusing on the On-job Training of Chongqing 2020 College Counselors, including training student cadres seriously, helping students with special difficulties, promoting the construction of overall study style and doing a good job in mental health education. The counselors also shared their feelings and experiences after participating in the training. They exchanged views and suggestions on the outstanding problems and solutions encountered in the student education and management work.

After listening to the teachers' communication, Jiandong Wang fully affirmed the new counselors' working enthusiasm and positive working attitude, and urged everyone to take the initiative to learn from the experienced counselors so as to get familiar with and adapt to the work as soon as possible. Jiandong Wang stressed that counselors are the backbone of the ideological and political education of college students. They should firmly adhere to their professional ideals, stick to the party spirit and unswervingly commit themselves; they should be based on their positions, conscientiously perform their duties and become students' life mentors and intimate friends for healthy growth. He also proposed that counselors should closely combine the improvement of students' professional ability with their personal comprehensive development, stimulate the learning enthusiasm of young students and hope that the student work team will continue to play a bold and capable style, realize the high expectation of "caring, responsible and high-level" put forward by the school chairman to the instructor team and make new contributions to the better and faster development of the college.

Our school has always attached great importance to the construction of counselors' team, which has been guaranteed in many aspects, such as policy guarantee, working mechanism, platform construction, personal development, etc. The student Department has continuously improved the professional level and vocational ability of the team by holding counselor salon, counselors’ workshops, counselors’ professional ability competitions and selecting counselors for further study and temporary job training.
