Good News! Our Students Won the First Prize of Chongqing Education System Network Security Attack and Defense Competition

Net news(article/picture School of Computer and Internet of Things Guan Jiefu) Recently, the final results of the 2020 education system network security attack and defense competition held by Chongqing Education Commission announced that the "long love" team composed of Guilong Xiang, Yi Shan and  Jiwei Qin, and the "snow win" team composed of Juan Wang, Xue Lin and Zongyi Zhu from the network security association of School of Computer and Internet of Things of our university both won the third prize, and the school won the excellent organization award.

A total of 237 teams signed up for the competition, including the education departments of 24 districts and counties and 46 universities from Chongqing University and Southwest University. The team with the top 20 scores entered the final. Under the guidance and leadership of Guan Jiefu, the school of computer and Internet of things of our university, the teachers and students of "long love" and "snow win" teams cooperated with each other and worked hard to overcome the difficulties, and finally achieved excellent results. This is the first time that our school has been shortlisted and won the prize since the first three years of the competition.

It is reported that the purpose of this competition is to thoroughly implement the nineteen spirit of the party and the general secretary Xi Jinping's strategic thinking of network power, so as to effectively improve the awareness of the network security, the level of protection and emergency response capabilities of the education system, and actively create a safe, healthy and civilized network environment. The College of Computer and Internet of Things has made great efforts to cultivate network information security talents through multiple channels, and has made some achievements in recent years. In the next step, the college will continue to adhere to the combination of competition and teaching, production and teaching, and constantly improve the professional skills of students.
