Our Students Have Achieved Great Results in the National English Speech, Writing and Reading Competition

Net news (Article/ Photo School of General Studies Xiaoxiao Wang) On October 31st, the 30th Chongqing College Student English Speech, Writing, and Reading Competition and the 2020 “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” English Speaking Contest, Writing and Reading Competition Chongqing Division was held at Chongqing Jiaotong University. Nine students from CQIE formed a representative team, led by teachers Liu Huang and Xuedong Li, and competed on the same stage with nearly 300 contestants from Chongqing University, Southwest University, Sichuan International Studies University and other universities.

This competition focuses on the test of the players' English level, including on-the-spot adaptability, language organization ability, logical analysis ability, and psychological quality of the game. After the competition, our students won 1 second prize and 8 third prizes. Among them, Yingshengjie Gu won the second-class speech contest award (tutor Xuedong Li); Linjun Shen (tutor Liu Huang), Xiya Chen  (tutor Qi Kuang), Wenjing Li (tutor Liping Jiang), and Yue Ming (tutor Fang Yao) respectively won the third prize of the writing contest; Xiaoxiao Zheng (tutor Xiaoxiao Wang), Fei Wei (tutor Fei Li), Hanyang Jing (tutor Baolian Yin), and Bingyao Chang (tutor Dan Zhou) won the third prize in the reading contest.

It is reported that the “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” English Speaking Contest, “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” National English Writing Competition and “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” National English Reading Competition are called "Uchallenge National College Students English Challenge" Competition" is co-sponsored by the Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, the English Teaching Guidance Subcommittee of Higher Schools of the Ministry of Education, China Foreign Languages and Education Research Center and Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, Beijing Waiyan Online Education Technology Co., Ltd. The public welfare competition jointly organized with the China Foreign Language Assessment Center is a platform for college students across the country to show their style and realize themselves.
