Shuangqiao Campus Organized the Activity of “Headmaster and the Grade of 2020 Students Face to Face”

Net news (Article/Pictures General Department Yidou Wan) In order to deeply listen to students’ opinions and suggestions on the development of the school, and further improve the pertinence and effectiveness of school management and service education, president Guoqing Gui participated in the “school leaders reception day” in Shuangqiao campus on the afternoon of November 18th, with Vice President Guohua Jiang, relevant department heads of Shuangqiao campus, all counselor teachers and student representatives attended. There are three processes in this activity. After arriving at Shuangqiao campus, President Gui first received five staff representatives who actively signed up to participate in the activity. He listened to the questions and suggestions earnest put forward by the teachers on the spot, and at the same time made targeted explanations and replies.

After receiving the teacher representatives, President Gui came to the meeting room on the second floor to organize and hold a special working meeting of the leading group of Shuangqiao Campus Management Committee. At the meeting, specific requirements were put forward for the future education and teaching, student management, logistics support and other aspects of Shuangqiao campus, and corresponding arrangements were made for the implementation of the work.

After the meeting, President Gui came to the lecture hall of Shuangqiao campus to participate in the activity of “face to face between the principal and the grade of 2020 students”. There were more than 500 students from 90 classes in Shuangqiao campus. 167 effective opinions (suggestions) were collected in the early stage of the activity, and 119 targeted opinions (suggestions) were finally sorted out.

The atmosphere of the meeting was warm, and many freshmen positively raised their hands to ask questions. Due to the limited time, 10 student representatives were finally selected. They mainly asked questions about the setting elective courses, the arrangement of school lectures, the arrangement of cultural activities for college students, the configuration of stadium, the implementation of early class, and improvement of teaching facilities. Among them, Wenting Zou, a freshman majoring in automation from the Department of Electronic Information, mentioned the university's undergraduate teaching evaluation work and asked the president on the spot: “what can students do for the undergraduate teaching evaluation of CQIE?”

President Gui said in reply that the school will issue the student version of the assessment knowledge manual for your reference in the later stage of the school, hoping that students will maintain a positive attitude, develop good habits, and show a good mental outlook in the learning process. “To be a student that the school is proud of is the greatest contribution to the assessment of undergraduate teaching qualification!”

Finally, President Gui said kindly to all the teachers and students on the scene: “what teachers and students hope is the direction of work. We should encourage teachers and students to participate in the democratic management of the school and realize the scientific decision-making. All our functional departments should improve the information collection and feedback mechanism, and be make sure that ‘answer every question and implement every question’, do our best to create a warm and harmonious campus environment for students.”
