College of Electronic Information Held a Demonstration Meeting on Discipline Construction

President Guoqing Gui and the director of Science and Technology Department Wei Chen attended the meeting to guide the work. All members of the academic subcommittee of the College of Electronic Information attended the meeting. And the meeting was presided over by Chengrui Chen, the vice president of the College of Electronic Information.

At the meeting, Shibiao He, President of the College of Electronic Information, first delivered a speech, and expressed his welcome and thanks to all the leading experts who attended the meeting. He also introduced the background and significance of the meeting, and made clear that the focus of the discussion was discipline direction, research focus, major project cooperation and platform construction. Next, Chengrui Chen, the vice president of the College of Electronic Information, made a detailed report on the discipline construction of the college from three aspects: the current situation of construction, the basic ideas of construction and the difficulties faced. In combination with the current situation of industrial development, the trend of technological development and the actual needs of talents, the experts at the meeting actively offered suggestions on the discipline direction, research focus, future project cooperation, platform and talent team construction, and put forward a lot of useful suggestions.

President Gui made an important speech on discipline construction. He stressed that the selection and construction of various disciplines should be based on the current situation and should not go beyond their own reality. It should be based on the foundation of professional construction and should not be divorced from the main line of talent training and continue to refine and optimize the discipline direction, accurately determine the position, promote the integration of disciplines and specialties through school enterprise cooperation and project driven and all work in an orderly manner implementation.
