Our Students Have Achieved Great Results in the "2020 National College Student Physics Experimental Competition"

Net news (Article/Picture the Physics Teaching Department of Shuangqiao Campus Tengzhi Liu) On December 14th, the results of the 2020 National College Student Physics Experiment Competition were officially announced. 24 students of our school formed 5 teams, won the first prize, second prize and third prize each, two outstanding prizes, the school won the outstanding organization award, and the three teachers Nan Zhang, Tengzhi Liu and Wenwen Shi won outstanding instructor award.

This competition mainly examines the experimental reports, PowerPoint (PPT), and video materials submitted by the contestants, and is selected by means of an online appraisal. There are 410 colleges include Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nankai University, University of Science and Technology of China, etc. The 1,408 representative teams selected by universities competed on the same stage. Five teams from our school have achieved excellent results. Among them, the projects of Qifei Wang, Hua Cai, and other students, the vibration demonstrator (instructors: Nan Zhang, Tengzhi Liu) won the national first prize, the project of Yishan Huang and other students, and the fluid velocity meter (instructors: Wenwen Shi, Nan Zhang) won the second prize, Yong Dai and other students’ projects, based on the application of gravity acceleration to measure the collision time of objects (instructors: Zhuojun Duan, Nan Zhang) won the third prize, Chun Mao and other students’ projects, using Phyphox software research on roller motion (instructors: Wenwen Shi, Nan Zhang) and Luobing Wang and other students' projects, spring vibrator physics experiments (instructors: Tengzhi Liu, Zhuojun Duan) won two outstanding awards. The school won the outstanding organization award, and three teachers, Nan Zhang, Tengzhi Liu, and Wenwen Shi, won the outstanding instructor award.

It is said that the National College Student Physics Experiment Competition is jointly sponsored by the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center Joint Association, the National College Experimental Physics Teaching Research Association, and the Chinese Physical Society. It is the largest and highest-level physics competition in the country. This competition covers three categories of innovative works for propositions, innovative works for self-selected topics, and physics experiment lecture competitions for college students. It is a way to stimulate students' interest in physics experiments and practical potential. It is an event platform that enables students to actively participate in physics practice to self-fulfillment.
