Our School Held an Advanced Model Commendation and Deeds Report Meeting

Net news (article/ Teacher Development Center Ke Chen pictures/ College Student Press Team Yimou Yuan, Chengcheng Guan)On the afternoon of March 12th, CQIE of Advanced Model Commendation and Deeds Report Meeting was held in the Academic Lecture Hall of Nanquan Campus. The meeting was hosted by Xiaoyong Tang. President Guoqing Gui, Party Secretary Mingshu Tan, Vice Presidents Qionghua Wang and Guohua Jiang, Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee Xiaoyong Tang, President Assistants Qigui Tan, Longfu Zhou, Yugang Jian, Jiandong Wang, and commended advanced individuals, representatives of faculty and staff attended the meeting, totaling more than 400 people.

After the meeting began, Party Secretary Mingshu Tan took the stage to deliver a speech. He first congratulated the commended advanced individuals and collectives. And he highly affirmed their extraordinary achievements in ordinary positions. Secretary Tan pointed out that the development of the school is facing new opportunities and challenges. All faculty and staff must focus on the fundamental task of “cultivating people with morality” and continuously improve the quality of talent training and the level of running schools.

Next, Vice President Qionghua Wang announced the commendation decision on the spot, and together with Vice President Guohua Jiang, presented awards to 10 people including Yuanfang Wang, the “March 8th Red Banner Bearer” of CQIE in 2021.

Party Secretary Mingshu Tan presented the prize to Yannan Wang, the winner of the May 1st Labor Medal in Chongqing in 2020. Then he presented awards to the members of the Chongqing Workers Pioneer Team-Department of Computer and Internet of Things Engineering in 2020. Afterwards, President Guoqing Gui awarded honorary certificates and bonuses to Ning Liao, a professional teacher of the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, a model for teacher ethics in CQIE in 2020.

After the awards, the representative of the “March 8th Red Flag Bearer” and the counselor Qiqi Han from Shuangqiao Campus shared the educational feelings of “interpreting work with love and caring for students with love” in plain language and sincere feelings. Institute of Civil Engineering teacher Jingjing Dai with humorous language expressed “doubts Tuition in the fun, but also with students Mentor” work perception. Ning Liao, a teacher of the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, shared his teaching and educating experience, gains and impressions of how to “be diligent, be an example of students, be responsible for love, and grow with students” since teaching for 9 years.

Finally, President Guoqing Gui came to the stage to make a concluding speech. On behalf of the school, he congratulated the commended advanced models and affirmed the hard work and dedication of the entire school's faculty and staff in the past year, as well as the outstanding achievements in the construction of teacher ethics and style.

President Gui also put forward clear goals, paths and methods on how to build a distinctive faculty team around the vision and goals of “To build a first-class private university in China.” He hopes that the commended teachers can make persistent efforts, lead and inspire others with their own brilliance, so that their morality can be highlighted and tempered in the huge teaching enthusiasm. At the same time, he also hopes that all faculty and staff will always combine strengthening the construction of teacher ethics and style with doing their own work, be dedicated to their jobs, learn from models, and innovate in their work, so as to make new achievements in the process of promoting the high-quality development of the school in the future.
