Vice President of Computer School of Chongqing University of Humanities and Technology and His Party Visited Our University

Net news (Article/Pictures the Department of Big Data Lei Tang) On the morning of March 24th, Baogang Sun, Vice President of School of Computer Engineering of Chongqing University of Humanities and Technology, and his party of 13th came to CQIE to study and inspect, and visited the construction of research laboratory. Accompanied by the dean of the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, the School of Computer and Internet of things, and the school of Electronic Information, Vice President Baogang Sun and his party successively visited eight professional laboratories of our university, including Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Data Center, Internet of Things Perception and Sensor Network Laboratory, and Communication Engineering Implementation and Project Management.

After the visit, representatives of both sides held a forum in the Seventh Conference Room of the school. Yaoqin Cao, Dean of School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, Guocai Yang, Dean of School of Computer and Internet of Things, Shibiao He, Dean of School of Electronic Information, and teacher representatives attended the forum.

At the meeting, Dean Yaoqin Cao delivered a welcome speech, introducing the overall situation of laboratory construction guarantee mechanism and supporting facilities and equipment of Big Data College. Dean Shibiao He specifically introduced the support of the Institute of Electronics for laboratory construction in terms of site, mechanism and policy, teacher allocation and student innovation. Dean Guocai Yang introduced the laboratory construction and operation of the School of Computer Science, the specialty trend of Internet of Things and graduates’ employment in detail. Sun Baogang expressed his gratitude for the warm and thoughtful reception of CQIE, and gave a high evaluation on the laboratory construction and experimental teaching work of our university. He also said that he hoped to learn from Chongqing Institute of engineering's experience in mechanism and policy preference for laboratory construction, implementation of faculty allocation and site investment, to explore a new mode of professional laboratory construction suitable for the characteristics of Chongqing University of Humanities and technology.

Subsequently, the two sides also had an in-depth discussion on issues such as talent training programs in the direction of big data and artificial intelligence, employment of graduates majoring in Big Data, Internet of Things, and Communication Engineering.
