Teachers from the School of Civil Engineering Gave an Academic Report at the 11th Yuanye Summit Forum

Net news (articles/pictures civil engineering College Zhanqi Cui)On March 27th and 28th, the two-day 2021 International Forum on Healthy Habitat and Future Cities and the 11th Yuanye Summit Forum (hereinafter referred to as “Yuanye Summit Forum”) were held in Xi'an. Xiaoli Zhu, deputy director of the Department of Civil Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering of our school, Fanrong Fu, director of the Department of Environmental Design, and teacher Zhanqi Cui were invited to attend and give academic reports.

In the eighteen sub-forums, Xiaoli Zhu attended the sub-forums on land and space planning and ecological civilization construction as an in-stock expert, and delivered an academic report entitled “Considerations on the Framework of Land and Space Planning for Integrated Ecosystem Services” on the spot. The report is guided by the process of identifying and weighing ecosystem services with public participation, and focuses on the importance of territorial and spatial planning and control policies in the transformation of human settlements.

It is reported that the Yuanye Summit Forum has been successfully held for ten consecutive sessions, aiming to discuss healthy and livable and future urban development. It is one of the most influential events in the Asia-Pacific region. The Yuanye Summit Forum has always upheld the concept of innovation, coordination, green, open, and shared development for a long time, and sought to implement the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The themes involve hot topics such as land and space planning, architectural design, urban renewal, park city, cultural and tourism integration, light and shadow art. The participation in this conference fully demonstrated the faculty of our school on the international academic road to keep pace with the times and bring forth the new. It also strengthened the exchanges and dialogues between our full-time faculty and the big names in the industry, which is of great significance for better in-depth teaching.
