Our School Held the First ISW Teaching Skills Work Training Activity

Net news (article/pictures Teacher Development Center Xiaoying Zhang) From March 31th to April 3rd, the “ISW Teaching Skills Workshop” opened by the Teacher Development Center was officially operated in the training room (library wisdom classroom). The invited Canada ISW international advisory committee certification director (FDW), chongqing university professor Jian Xu, associate professor Lei Lei to teach, the workshop training arrangement is thorough, high learning and training intensity, after 4 days of intense study, six backbone teachers from different colleges successfully, and obtained ISW project authorized study certificate.

In the training process, the participating teachers formed an interdisciplinary group teaching cycle drill. In addition to completing the daily centralized learning and drill tasks, they also watched their daytime teaching videos at night, and revised and improved the micro-class teaching design on this basis. In the final feedback link, all the teachers spoke highly of the organization, curriculum,arrangement and effect of the workshop, and said that the study experience made themselves realize what is really learning-centered and how to serve the growth of students. In addition, some teachers put forward that this training activity effectively helped themselves to find and solve the pain points and difficulties in the teaching activities, while further improving the professional teaching ability, but also enhancing the communication between teachers.

It is understood that ISW teaching skills workshop advocates “student-centered” teaching concept, with BOPPPS teaching method and mini cycle framework as the core, using micro teaching, under the guidance of the guide of participatory, experiential group learning as the unit, through continuous questions and reflection, deep experience and thinking about the connotation of ISW design, communication and teaching skills, in a short period of deep understanding of participatory learning theory and implement participatory classroom. The Teacher Development Center will continue to focus on training teachers of various levels, create a learning-centered teaching atmosphere, and will continue to select teachers to participate in various training activities, enhance the teaching ability of teachers in our school, improve the effect of education and teaching, and the quality of talent training.
