Library Staff Participate in the 34th Peking Book Order Fair

Library Xiaoxu Pan, Shimei Deng, Software College Wei Huang, Civil Engineering College Yang Liu, Digital Art Media College Liang Zhou and the other teachers went to Beijing to participate in the 34th Peking Book Order Fair to carry out on-the-spot book selection work in from March 28th to 31st.

This book order was sponsored by China Publishing Association and China Publishing Industry Association with more than 700 publishing units participate in and including 400,000 books, among which 140,000 new books have been published in the past two years. At the conference hall, our teachers earnestly selected professional books and best-selling books suitable for the collection, gathered more than 2,500 new-books data. Our school library has also established direct contacts with more than 20 publishing houses such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Machinery Industry University, the People’s Posts and Telecommunications, Electronics Industry, China Construction Industry, Tianjin University, China Media University, China Radio and Television, People ’ s Education and Higher Education, which has laid a foundation for later bibliographic collection.

Library staff also visited authorities such as People's Publishing House, Communist Party History Press, Central Document Publishing House and Central Compilation Publishing House, focusing on purchasing more than 1,100 volumes of Party History and Party Building books. In addition, the delegation also visited four distribution bases to collect books, collecting a total of nearly 5,000 books, including software, information engineering, civil engineering, art, party building, management and literature.
