Our School Held a Second-level Teaching Unit Research Institute Equipment Procurement Demonstration Meeting

President Guoqing Gui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President Yeping Zhang, Assistant President Gui Yang, and Assistant President Yugang Jian attended the meeting. Persons in charge of the Finance Department, Purchasing Department, Information Center, and School-Enterprise Cooperation Office attended. The meeting was chaired by Wei Chen, Director of the Science and Technology Department.

At the meeting, Mu Li, director of the Institute of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, and Junliang Wang, deputy director of the Institute of Software Engineering, combined the construction of the institute and reported the second batch of equipment procurement plans. The leaders and functional departments of the participating schools carefully reviewed the type and quantity of purchased equipment, and put forward their opinions and suggestions. It also proposed specific division of labor for the relevant functional departments to cooperate with the procurement work, further standardizing the procurement process and implementing the procurement system.

After listening to the work reports of various units, President Gui put forward clear requirements on the issue of talent training in the construction of the two institutes: First, the staffing of the institute should consider not only external recruitment but also internal training. According to the introduction of teachers, it must timely apply for teacher qualification certificates, arrange teaching tasks, and promptly recruit young teachers with research foundations in the college. Second, the research institute should do a good job in matching the talent training plan with the college where it is located, and incorporate the training content of the research institute into the plan, and the content beyond the plan should be implemented in accordance with the "excellent talent training class" model; The college should also formulate a talent training plan, detail the content and implementation methods of each link, and report to the Office of Academic Affairs for approval before implementation. Third, we must do a good job in the integration of school teachers and corporate employees, and achieve mutual respect and full communication between each other. To avoid the phenomenon previously part of school-enterprise cooperation project personnel, management mismatch occurs.
