(Interpreter: Li Zhang) National Flag Guards Carried Out "Tracing the Footsteps of Martyrs and Inheriting the Red Gene" Hiking Training Net news (Article/Photo Wentao Zhu, the Armed Forces Department of the Party Committee) On the afternoon of April 14th, the National Flag Guards of CQIE organized representatives to carry out hiking and training. The route started from CQIE through Yijiagou-Baihe Village 2 stations-Changnan Bridge-to the top of Monk Mountain. The total length of this excursion and training is 20 kilometers, which lasted about 6 hours.
During the training, the team members were energetic and emotional, which fully demonstrated the uplifting spirit of the students in CQIE. Fluttering flags, neat teams, and loud slogans have become a beautiful scenery along the way. In order to ensure the safe and orderly progress of this training, instructors and student cadres are responsible for everything from preliminary planning to route surveys, medicine preparation, safety guarantees, use of catering water and emergency response. After more than three hours of long-distance training, the members of the Guard arrived at the top of Monk Mountain at about 16:30 in the afternoon, and visited the battle site where the "first shot" was fired in the liberation of Chongqing, and paid homage to the battle monument. The team members did not abandon or give up along the way, tenaciously challenged the limits of the body, and constantly surpassed themselves, this demonstrated the tenacity and perseverance of the students of CQIE.
The long hiking exercise with the theme of “Tracing the Footsteps of the Martyrs and Inheriting the Red Gene” tempered the team’s spirit and cultivated the team’s noble character of unity and cooperation and overcoming difficulties. After the training activities, the team members expressed that they would inherit the legacy of the martyrs, strictly demand themselves, strengthen their ideals and beliefs, integrate patriotism and the aspiration to serve the country into their studies, and keep the sacred mission of protecting the national flag in mind.
