The Students of Chongqing Institute of Engineering Have Won a Good Performance in the National College Students’ Engineering Training Ability Competition

Net news (Article/Pictures Software College Ping Wang Shulin Zhou  Zhiqiang Ding) From April 17th to April 18th, the 7th National College Students’ Engineering Training Comprehensive Ability Competition (Chongqing Division) was held in Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences. There are 26 universities and more than 260 teams from Chengdu and Chongqing. Nearly 1000 contestants participated in the competition, including 19 undergraduate colleges and 7 higher vocational colleges. The number of participating schools and teams has reached a record high. Our school of software, school of computer and school of electronic information jointly selected 7 teams, and 32 teachers and students signed up for the first time. After competition, all teams won 1 first prize, 4 second prizes and 2 third prizes.

Since the start of the competition, colleges have actively recommended and selected players. The competition items brought by the team of software college are “tooth warrior” and “little environmental guard”, both of which are developed and produced by Roblox team of FunGame game studio of software college. After competition, “tooth warrior” and “little environmental guard” were highly recognized by the judges in terms of creative ideas, technology application and art design, and finally won the first prize and the second prize respectively.

In addition, the team of the College of Computer and Internet of Things participated in the intelligent material handling robot and all terrain obstacle surmounting car, which focused on the test of the players’ programming level and hands-on ability, and had high requirements for the participants’ software and hardware design ability. Under the guidance of tutors Tianhua Yan , Zhiqiang Ding , Ming Ye and Wenqiang Song, the team members overcame the disadvantages such as short time and insufficient supplies. They sincerely united and cooperated closely. They stood out from more than 40 teams and finally won three second prizes. Under the guidance of Keqin Li and Shulin Zhou, the team won two third prizes.
