The Software College Holds Lectures on Professional Knowledge of Software Engineering

Net news (article/picture Software College Yang Li) On the afternoon of April 21st, the software college held a lecture on the professional knowledge of software engineering. Professor Ying Qian, Dean of the school of software engineering of Chongqing University of Posts and telecommunications and members of the Standing Committee of the fifth  Chongqing CPPCC, were invited to deliver the lecture. Dean Yue Wang ,vice dean Huaping Li, vice dean Junliang Wang and more than 150 students majoring in software engineering attended.

The topic of Professor Qian’s lecture was “The past and present of software and software engineering”. When talking about software and related engineering professional issues, Professor Qian took “the definition of software” as the topic, focusing on the origin of software, data-driven intelligence, changes in software requirements and other contents. Combined with vivid and detailed cases, Professor Qian led the students to review the development process of software and software engineering in detail, and to re-understand the great role of software technology in promoting the development of social civilization in the long river of human history. In addition, Professor Qian also analyzed the overall trend of the software field in the future in combination with the current development of the software engineering field, so as to encourage students to study hard and act actively. During the whole lecture, Professor Qian explained the contents in a simple, profound and humorous way, citing a large number of supporting materials, which not only made the students learned about the profound foundation of professional scholars, but also left deep impressions on the rich connotation of software engineering.

In the end, President Yue Wang encouraged the students to seek for the direction of professional development in combination with their own situations, and to contribute to the construction of the new era while achieving good personal development.
