ISW Training Exchange Meeting Held in Shuangqiao Campus

Net news (article/picture General Education College Jiali Yang) On the afternoon of April 21st, Shuangqiao campus held a special ISW training exchange conference, which was attended by all teachers of General education college and ideological and political teaching department. During the meeting, Jie Peng, teacher from the Mathematics Teaching Department of General Education College, shared her participation experience in the training.

At the meeting, Teacher Jie Peng shared five aspects of ISW: overview, study content, objectives, effective teaching structure mode and teaching cases respectively. ISW (Instructional Skills Workshop) teaching skills workshop originated in Canada and is a short-term and efficient training for improving teaching ability. In addition, the core of ISW teaching lies in mini teaching exercises. Students play both roles as teachers and students in ISW. The purpose is to help students enhance their teaching ability and self-confidence, become reflective teaching practitioners, and deeply understand participatory learning theory as well as implement participatory classroom teaching interaction. In the future, ISW teaching will accelerate the improvement of classroom teaching methods in college, implement the teaching concept of "student-centered learning", and improve the pertinence and attraction of teaching.

After the exchange, Wei Yan Wei, deputy director of the Management Committee of Shuangqiao campus and vice president of General Education College, made a concluding speech. President Yan stressed that college teachers should not only do a good job in teaching, but also participate in various training and teaching and research activities, so as to lay a solid foundation for their careers. There is no shortcut in teaching, but scientific methods can help teachers approach the ideal classroom atmosphere step by step.
