College of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Held a Seminar on Teacher Ethics

Net news (articles/pictures College of Big Data Lei Tang) On the afternoon of May 21st, the Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Academy held a seminar on teacher ethics, presided over by Dean Yaoqin Cao, attended by Deputy Secretary of College Party Branch Wei Shang, Vice-Secretaries Xin Chen and Qian Yang, in order to fully implement the Party 's educational policy, carry out the fundamental task of moral education, adhere to the socialist direction of running schools and improve teachers ' moral cultivation.

During the meeting, Yaoqin Cao conveyed the general demand of higher authorities to strengthen the ethos of faculty, emphasizing that teachers should engrave the spirit of being a paragon of virtue and taeching on heart. Premier Cao pointed out that teachers are engineers of the human soul and transmitters of human civilization, and that people should learn to carry out the Party's educational policy and contribute to national development and rejuvenation. Teachers of colleges and universities in the new era should enhance their sense of responsibility, mission and honor, as well as standardize their professional behavior, to clarify the bottom line of teachers' virtues. College teachers should respond to the advocacy of General Secretary Xi with the belief of lifelong learning, dedication, caring for students, incorrupt teaching and being a model for others. To become four good teachers with ideal belief, ethical feeling, solid knowledge and benevolence, participating teachers also put forward new opinions and suggestions on the effectiveness and existence of the teacher style construction.

At the end of this seminar, all faculty of the Big Data Academy signed the promise of teachers ' ethics. Yaochin Cao emphasized that the mission of moral education should be kept in mind, arm our minds with Jinping Xi’ s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, consciously discipline ourselves and strictly abide by the red line of teachers ’ ethics, and use practical actions to interpret the professional spirit of “ learning as a teacher and acting as a model ”.
