Our School Held the Second Academic Committee Discipline Construction and Scientific Research Committee

Net news (Article/Picture Shiyi Li, Science and Technology Department) In order to improve the level of discipline construction and scientific research of the school, on the afternoon of May 26th, our school held the first meeting of the second Academic Committee of discipline construction and Scientific Research Committee in 2021 in the meeting room 206 of the office building. The meeting was presided over by Professor Longfu Zhou, the Vice Chairman of the Special Committee. And a total of 11 members of the Special Committee participated.

At the meeting, Wei Chen, director of the Discipline Office, reported the opinions on the establishment of the first batch of college key disciplines construction of CQIE and the basic situation of the subject leaders. Experts have fully deliberated and discussed it one by one. They agreed that the five disciplines approved by this batch of projects have the hardware foundation, scientific research results and talent support for discipline construction and development. After the establishment of the project, it is of great significance for the college’s next level of academic qualifications and comprehensive influence. The discipline leader selected for the first time has high academic attainments and rich scientific research work experience, and can undertake the important task of discipline construction and development. After a show of hands, the above two issues were passed unanimously.

Quping Zhu, the deputy dean of the Institute of Civil Engineering, reported on the construction plan of the “Digital Construction Technology and Application Research Center” and make an explanation. After thorough discussion, experts agreed that the program incorporates the college’s “big software” characteristics, and that the establishment of the research center is in line with the national industrial policy development orientation and the college’s “one institute, one platform” development idea and has high theoretical research and practical application value, and also put forward some suggestions for revision. After a show of hands, the plan was passed unanimously.

Finally, in order to fully mobilize teachers’ enthusiasm for scientific research, combined with the spiritual requirements of “breaking the five standards” of the education evaluation reform in the new era and the actual construction of the school, some opinions and suggestions on the adjustment of the identification standards of scientific research results were formed by the participating experts.
