Mathematics plays an irreplaceable role in the development of human history and social life, and is also an indispensable basic tool for learning and researching modern science and technology. All aspects of today's society involve mathematical knowledge and thought, whereas mathematical modeling is an excellent model for studying math which breaks the traditional paradigm of mathematical education and makes students discover as well as solve problems.

This competition is relative to undergraduate students who have already participated in the mathematical modeling training or the" Higher Education Society Cup" Collegian Mathematical Contest in Modeling and are interested in this competition. The grades of the students who performed well in this competition as a basis for selecting to participate in the National Collegian Mathematical Contest in Modeling.

The contest has become a carrier of competition that promotes teaching for CQIE, leading our teachers and students on the way of teaching and researching mathematics. Through this competition, the participating students not only exercise in mathematics knowledge, computer knowledge, and thesis writing but also cultivate the team cooperation spirit and innovation consciousness of the participating students, which is conducive to improving the students' comprehensive quality.
