Students of General Studies College won great success in the English Style Competition of the Out Look Superstars

Net news (articles/pictures College of general studies Jia Jian) On June 20th, the Foreign Language Teaching Department of General Studies College of our university organized students to take part in the Out Look Superstars English Style Competition. This competition is sponsored by the National Organizing Committee of the Out Look Superstars and Greek Language Festival. The competition is held in Chongqing Jiangbei known vulnerable to foreign language school. Excellent students will have the opportunity to participate in the "Escort Program" sponsored by China Children and Teenagers Foundation.

After a fierce competition in the school, 20 students, including Junsong Liu and Yingshengjie Gu, participated in the competition on behalf of the school. Four teachers from the Foreign Language Teaching Department of General Studies College, namely, Jia Jian, Liping Jiang, Tao Tan and Yurong Wang, gave pre-competition guidance to the contestants and led them to participate in the competition. In the end, the above students successfully advanced to the finals with excellent results, with a total of 13 people, among whom Junsong Liu and Xiaoxiao Zheng won the special prize of the rematch, and the remaining 11 players won the first prize of the rematch.

It is understood that this competition falls behind the spirit of the important speech delivered by the Jingping Xi general secretary at the National Education Conference, promotes quality education, cultivates students' comprehensive ability and innovative thinking, and shows the world the image of a new generation of Chinese teenagers who are brave, optimistic, energetic and self-reliant, spreading Chinese culture overseas and promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. In the future, the school will continue to intensify the reform of English teaching, promote teaching and learning through competition, improve students' oral English expression ability and skills, use English expression and solve practical problems, stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning English, and lay a foundation for further improving teaching quality.
