Our School Held the Sixth "Wonderful Lesson" Teaching Competition

Net news (article / pictures Teacher Development Center Xiaoying Zhang) In order to temper the basic teaching skills of young teachers and further improve teachers' effective teaching ability, the final of the sixth "wonderful lesson" teaching competition of Chongqing Institute of engineering was successfully held in classrooms 102 and 103 of the sixth teaching building of Nanquan campus on the afternoon of June 25th .

This competition takes "having a good course" as the concept, and mainly embodies the teaching principle of "wonderful lesson". The competition is divided into two parts: teaching design and on-site teaching display. The period lasted more than 4 months. Through the preliminary competition of the Department and the semi-finals of the college, 18 teachers from 9 colleges finally entered the school level finals. After strict blind review and on-site evaluation, it was finally evaluated that Yang Liu of the software college won the first prize, Ya Pan of the management college won the second prize, Huanhuan Xu of the civil engineering college and Le Wang of the general education college won the third prize, and the other teachers won the Excellence Award.

The finals are divided into two groups according to science and engineering, literature, economics and management and ideological and political education. Each teacher selects teaching segments (1 out of 5) 20 minutes before the competition for pre competition preparation. In the 20 minutes on-site teaching, combined with the teaching plan, the teaching demonstration is mainly used to show the complete teaching links, personal teaching style and characteristics, highlight the teaching design and interpret the teaching concept. The expert judges of the final are composed of 14 supervisors from the secondary college, the quality evaluation office and the academic affairs office. The judges will score on the spot according to the participating teachers' teaching plans, on-site demonstrations, teaching organizations, language forms, blackboard demonstrations, courseware and other aspects. During the competition, the participating teachers' understanding and design of courses and teaching contents, control of teaching objectives, application of information-based teaching and presentation of teaching methods are reflected. After the competition, the expert judges made concentrated comments on the performance of the participating teachers, focusing on the details and pointing out the highlights, deficiencies and improvement direction.

It is understood that this competition is a centralized review of the education and teaching ability of young and middle-aged teachers in our school, trying to show the young teachers' solid theoretical foundation and flexible and rich teaching methods, which has inspired the majority of teachers to actively participate in classroom teaching. The teacher development center will continue to cooperate with multiple departments to strengthen the connotation of teacher teaching, fully tap the teaching potential of young teachers, create excellent teachers and classrooms, and promote the improvement of teachers' education and teaching ability.
