(Interpreter: GenpingTan) The College of Liberal Studies Held the First College Students’ Applied Writing Competition of CQIE Net news(article/picture Bin Jia, School of General Studies) On the evening of June 28th, the finals of the first college student application writing competition of CQIE was held in classroom 101 of the teaching building of our school's Shuangqiao campus. The competition was hosted by the College of General Studies and undertaken by the Ministry of Humanities and Social Sciences.The students who participated in the finals this time selected more than 90 qualified students from the preliminary competition held on June 18th. The preliminary competition adopted the method of online answering questions, and the final competition adopted the method of closed-book examination.
The competition is divided into two rounds: the preliminary round and the final round. The test questions refer to the question types of the previous official document competition organized by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, mainly including multiple-choice questions, judgment questions, correction questions, case analysis questions, and writing questions. After strict review by the teachers, 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 6 third prizes, and 10 excellence awards were finally selected. The winners of this competition will have the opportunity to represent the school to participate in the Chongqing University Student Applied Writing Competition held by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission.
According to reports, this competition is a series of competitions in our school’s “one specialization and one competition”, which aims to improve the writing level of our students in applied writing. Promote the teaching reform of courses related to applied writing, provide an applied writing practice platform for students who are committed to various writing work in the future, and connect with the Chongqing University Student Applied Writing Competition held by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. Through the competition, the participating students have been effectively exercised in applied knowledge, applied skills and applied writing, which has improved the students' attention to applied writing and is conducive to improving students' comprehensive literacy.
