Our School's New Employee Induction Training in the Fall of 2021 was Successfully Completed

The training，presided by Xiaoying Zhang, deputy director of the Teacher Development Center，was held in the ladder lecture hall of Nanquan Campus. 157 new employees attended.

Yeping Zhang, deputy secretary of the party committee and executive vice president, welcomed all the new employees on behalf of the school and led everyone to review the arduous history of the school along the way，from the software college founded in Shapingba, to the construction of Nanquan and Shuangqiao campuses into large-scale local universities, from the training school for training software professionals to today's full-time professional undergraduate colleges. Looking back on the ups and downs of the twenty years of unchanged original intentions, Secretary Zhang stressed that hope exists with a dream, and developmental experices of each stage should be constantly summarized. " Moreover, he  hoped that new colleagues can integrate into the school's education and teaching work as soon as possible, and be a teacher with ideals and beliefs, moral sentiments, solid knowledge, and more perseverance, while grow together with the school.

Principal Guoqing Gui analyzed the current historical orientation and development trend of the school from the top level, introduced the overall ideas and current key work of the school's future development, and deeply interpreted the school's "school-enterprise cooperation, industry-education integration" school model and the professional training characteristics of "information technology +". At the meeting, President Gui elaborated his views on the mission and responsibility of teachers in the new era, emphasized the importance of "three hearts", "three gods" and "three forces", and said that the core mission of teachers in the new era is to strive to cultivate more young people with ideals, abilities and responsibilities. He hoped that every new faculty member can embrace the homeland, integrate into CQIE, dedicate CQIE, jointly meet the 2022 undergraduate qualification assessment, and strive towards the goal of running a high-level engineering and technical university with distinctive characteristics!

During the training, the heads of each functional department introduced the main work of their respective departments to the new employees. Director of the Personnel Department Yanyan Ming, Minister of Student Work Yan Huang, Director of the Science and Technology Division Wei Chen, Director of the Teaching Quality Management Office Faling Li, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office Yanlian Chen, Deputy Director of the Teacher Development Center Xiaoying Zhang, Deputy Director of the University Student Quality Education Center Chunxia Zou respectively from the new teaching staff's personal career development and teachers' code of conduct, how to carry out quality education and student training, how to become a qualified application-oriented undergraduate teacher, how to grow new teachers, the interpretation of the undergraduate teaching quality assurance system, Special training was conducted in several aspects, such as the overall shaping of the professional image of teachers, aiming to help new teachers and staff understand the basic characteristics and general laws of China's relevant education policies and regulations and the education and teaching work of colleges and universities, clarify the requirements and norms of teachers' professional ethics and the requirements and norms of our school's talent training work; feel the excellent tradition and cultural atmosphere of "building people with virtue, respecting teachers and re-teaching" in our school, and establish a sense of identity, mission and responsibility for school development and teachers' profession.

Finally, Vice President Qionghua Wang summed up the two-day new employee induction training and led all the new employees to watch the interview video of Guimei Zhang, the recipient of the July 1st Medal, when Guimei Zhang expressed her determination of making dedications to the school! At that time, the on-site faculty and staff were deeply moved. President Wang said emotionally that teaching is not a product of an enterprise, but the dream of education that we all embrace with."

Through the two-day training, the new teachers expressed their gratitude to the school for the rapid integration, while had profound understandings of the school history, current situation and future development, Meanwhile, they stated that they are willing to take roots in CQIE,and strive to be a good teacher with responsibilities. Meanwhile, Meichen Sun, a counselor at the School of Electronic Information of the trainees of this training, expressed that after two days of study, I learned more about CQIE and gained a deeper understanding of the teacher’s meaning.

It is reported that after the induction training, new teachers will participate in a two-year New Teacher Growth Workshop to improve practical teaching  abilities. Teacher training is a long-term systematic project. The Teacher Development Center will continue to explore new training models, and consolidate the cornerstone of teacher growth.
