CQIE Held a Half-Year Work Promotion Meeting for Scientific Research

Net news (Article/Photo Shiyi Li, Science and Technology Department) On the afternoon of July 14th, the half-year work promotion meeting of CQIE’s scientific research was held in the Fifth Conference Room of CQIE’s Office Building. President Guoqing Gui, assistants Longfu Zhou and Yugang Jian, deans of secondary colleges and vice deans of scientific research, a total of 20 people attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Longfu Zhou.

At the meeting, all secondary colleges reported on the progress of scientific research work in their own units. These reports have been comprehensively sorted out from the aspects of discipline construction mechanism and measures, discipline echelon construction, academic activity development, academic sub-committee operation, vertical and horizontal scientific research project declaration, and scientific research platform construction and operation. At the same time, the problems existing in the construction were carefully analyzed, and the next work plan was clarified.

Wei Chen reported on the progress of the CQIE’s scientific research work in the first half of the year, the main contradictions in the work, and the work plan for the second half of the year. Comments were made on the common problems found in the communication inspection of each secondary college. In particular, the number of core papers published in the first half of the year, the number of vertical project declarations, the number of horizontal projects received, the construction of scientific research platform websites, the number of invention patent declarations, and the sorting of key indicators of discipline construction were displayed and analyzed.

Longfu Zhou briefly analyzed the current situation of scientific research work. And put forward requirements from strengthening teachers’ awareness of subject scientific research, improving relevant organizations, straightening out scientific research ideas, strengthening overall atmosphere, strengthening talent team building, highlighting key characteristics of CQIE, and giving full play to the role of software engineering and Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Research Institutes.

Guoqing Gui emphasized that we must face up to the difficult problems in the development of private colleges, and we must gradually improve the common problems of weak scientific research foundation and weak academic research awareness. In the future work, it is necessary to continuously strengthen academic awareness and create a strong scientific research atmosphere; pay attention to the integration of science and education, and educate people collaboratively; be fully familiar with the system and make good use of incentive policies.
