The 2021 “Strengthening Foundation Cup” New Teacher Teaching Ability Competition of The College of

Liberal Studies Ended Successfully

Net news (article/picture Jiali Yang) In order to strengthen the basic teaching skills of new teachers, on the afternoon of November 17th, the School of General Studies held the finals of the 2021 “Strengthening Foundation Cup” New Teacher Teaching Ability Competition on the Shuangqiao Campus. Dean Hongke Wang, Vice Dean Wei Yan and All full-time teachers from Shuangqiao, College of Liberal Studies attended the competition, and all teachers from Nanquan Campus of College of Liberal Studies watched the game through remote live broadcast. The competition was divided into two venues: liberal arts and science, and 19 participating teachers showed up in sequence.

The finals officially started at 2:00 p.m. The competition consists of two parts: teaching design and teaching display. Each participating teacher came to the stage with the best spirit. In just 20 minutes, it fully demonstrated the teaching charm and teaching style of the teachers!

After the competition, Associate Professor Shiguo Chen and Professor Xinhua Liao, who served as judges, made concluding speeches respectively. They gave their opinions on the PPT effect, preparation level and performance of the participating teachers, and encouraged young teachers to devote themselves to study and exploration, so as to strive to make progress in teaching level. Finally, Hongke Wang put forward specific requirements for future teaching work, encouraging everyone to continue to work hard and make persistent efforts.

This competition provides a good platform for new teachers to display their teaching skills. It is not only an arena for the participating teachers to show their teaching style and teaching art, but also an exchange meeting for full-time teachers in the school to observe classroom teaching and learn from them. The competition further improved the education and teaching ability of the new teachers, and truly realized the purpose of promoting teaching through competition.
