The School of Computer and Internet of Things at Chongqing Institute of Engineering Has Pioneered a New Mode of Daily Course Tours

Net news (article/ picture School of Computer and Internet of Things Tian Hao) In order to effectively strengthen the construction of academic and class atmosphere in the college, guide students to cultivate a good classroom atmosphere, and effectively improve the rate of students' classroom participation and listening, the School of Computer and Internet of Things at Chongqing University of Engineering has established a pioneering "Code Farmer Classroom" selection system based on the "Code Farmer Spirit (professionalism, dedication, and precision)" in our college. The implementation of this system adopts a three-level linkage mechanism, consisting of department leaders, counselors, and student representatives to form an inspection team, which covers all classes and classrooms of the college on a weekly basis. The level of course inspection is jointly selected by department leaders, counselors, and student representatives, and is publicly announced every week. The student department implements reward and punishment measures based on the inspection results and supervises rectification.

Every Monday to Friday, conduct comprehensive inspections of all classes, classrooms, and teachers, record classroom situations by scanning QR codes, and provide timely feedback if any problems are found. The daily course check results are archived by the college student union and publicly displayed in the student class group and college teacher group every night. The student department shall implement rewards and punishments and supervise rectification based on the inspection results. At the end of each semester, commend the classes, teachers, and counselors who have performed well in the classroom this semester.

It is reported that this system has achieved good results since its implementation. From a practical perspective, with the normalization of selection activities and the joint promotion of multiple forces, the teaching status and infectiousness of full-time teachers, their proficiency in teaching content, and the standardization of the "five major teaching items" have all improved overall. Improvements have also been made in interacting with students, mobilizing their learning emotions, and activating the classroom teaching atmosphere. The self-discipline and self-awareness of students in the classroom have been improved, especially the phenomenon of playing with mobile phones and sleeping on their stomach has been reduced, and the classroom atmosphere has been improved. The head up rate and front seat occupancy rate have been effectively increased, which has played a good promoting role in the construction of the academic atmosphere of the college.
