Our School Held the Theme Lecture of "Poetry Heavy Industry, Pen and Ink Youth"

In order to carry forward and inherit Chinese poetry culture, appreciate the charm of poetry, and stimulate students' love for traditional Chinese culture, on June 6, our Heavy Industry Forum invited Mr. Wang Chongyi, former director of Chinese Poetry Society, president of Chongqing Poetry Society, and Executive director of Global Chinese Poetry Association, to carry out a lecture on the theme of "Poetry Heavy Industry, Pen and Brush Youth" in the conference room 201 of the Administration Building. School chairman, president Wanjun Wang, vice president Jiandong Wang attended the activity, the student office, quality education center, Youth League Committee and other departments in charge, teachers and students of all units poetry lovers, pen and ink literature club, readers association members and other more than 100 people participated in the activity.

In the lecture, Chongyi Wang deeply discussed the appreciation and creation of poetry with his unique perspective and opinions. He first reviewed the long history and rich tradition of Chinese poetry, emphasizing the important position of poetry in Chinese culture. He mentioned that poetry is not only a form of expression of literature, but also a spiritual sustenance and emotional expression. Using his own creative practice as an example, he shared how to draw inspiration from modern life and create poetry works that both conform to traditional norms and have the flavor of The Times.

Chongyi Wang's poetry creation advocates the brushwork and pursues the expression of spirit and sincere emotion. Chongyi Wang said that there are three people he admires most, namely Juyi Bai, Yuxi Liu and Mu Yuan. While his poetry style is influenced by these ancient poets, it also integrates the ethereal and philosophical aspects of Zen poetry, making his works far-reaching and intriguing. Later, Chongyi Wang also mentioned the combination of tea culture and poetry, he believes that drinking tea and chanting poetry is a healthy and elegant way of life, which can improve people's cultural quality and spiritual realm. In addition, Chongyi Wang also shared his experience in poetry creation with the audience, encouraging them to observe and think more in daily life, and discover extraordinary poetry from ordinary life. He advocated the use of white description in poetry, and tried to give poetry a new era of life atmosphere, so that it is closer to the modern life experience and emotional needs.

After listening to Mr. Wang Chongyi's wonderful lecture, Wanjun Wang said that poetry not only enrichis our spiritual world, but also is an important way to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture. He put forward three hopes to the teachers and students present. First, he hoped that the teachers and students could deeply understand the charm and connotation of the poetry, take the poetry as the nourishment of the soul, let the essence of the excellent traditional Chinese culture infiltrate our spiritual world, and enhance personal cultural cultivation and moral sentiment. Second, it is hoped that teachers and students can actively participate in the creation and dissemination of poetry, express their feelings and thoughts through poetry, let more people feel the charm and power of poetry, and jointly promote the inheritance and development of Chinese poetry culture. Third, it is hoped that teachers and students can practice the wisdom and philosophy of poetry in daily life, integrate the beautiful quality and values of poetry into their own life practice, and become young people in the new era with noble character and humanistic feelings.
