"Drawing Dreams in Rural Areas - Design Blueprint" - Chongqing Institute of Engineering's "Rural Landscape Design and Practice" Course Practice Report was Held in Shilong Town, Banan District

Representatives from Shilong Town Planning and Construction Office, Helu Village, and Daxing Village Committee participated in the report.

The course is based on the national rural revitalization strategy, combined with the overall planning of "Hemei Village" construction, and is located in Daxing Village and Helu Village, Banan District. The aim is to deeply understand the actual needs of rural environmental spatial governance development. Around the three main themes of life, production, and ecology, more than 30 teachers and students conducted a one month field research and project planning design. The students utilized their creativity and professional knowledge, and with a fresh perspective and unique design concept, proposed 10 sets of design drafts for the landscape renovation of the new rural settlement in Daxing Village and the governance of the rural river system in Helu Village, covering the landscape renovation design of the "new rural settlement" in Daxing Village, the landscape design of the distribution square in Daxing Village, and the leisure agriculture in Daxing Village. Landscape design for sightseeing belts and rural river systems in Helu Village, These plans not only reflect the students' profound understanding of rural living environment construction, but also demonstrate their beautiful vision for rural revitalization.

In the landscape renovation design of the "New Rural Settlement" in Daxing Village, students focused on improving the rural living environment and paid attention to the square as an important scene for village gatherings, leisure and entertainment in rural public life. Through comprehensive analysis of the surrounding environment of the square, modern design concepts were introduced, combined with local characteristics, and a landscape renovation plan with a sense of the times and regional characteristics was proposed, striving to create a fully functional and beautiful rural public living space. In the landscape design of the Daxing Village Leisure Agriculture Tourism Belt, students took the opportunity of the productive rural cultural and tourism landscape construction that combines agricultural tourism and leisure entertainment, and combined the high standard farmland and Yang's watchtower on the site to design a rural landscape style belt that integrates production. The plan includes agricultural planting areas, sightseeing experience areas, and leisure and entertainment areas, aiming to drive rural tourism and promote economic development through agricultural tourism. In the landscape design of the rural river system in Helu Village, students focus on ecological restoration and water environment improvement, and propose a landscape design scheme that combines nature and culture. Through water system planning, the river environment is improved, the self purification ability of the water body is enhanced, and combined with the landscape construction around the river, a beautiful ecological rural river is created.

Finally, Jinsong Liu, Director of the Planning and Construction Office of Shilong Town, commented on the works of the students, affirming their creative ideas and innovative concepts, and also pointing out issues such as insufficient integration of details with the actual situation of the village and town in the works. He hopes that his classmates can innovate their thinking in future learning and creation, enhance the grounding and mass appeal of their works, and better serve rural revitalization.

This practical course not only tests the professional knowledge of students, but also provides strong support for the rural revitalization practice in Shilong Town, Banan District. The students' plans demonstrated their understanding of the rural environment and their aspirations for the future development of rural areas. These plans not only have high innovation and practicality, but also provide new ideas and references for the rural construction of Daxing Village and Helu Village.
