The Science Popularization Activity "Exploring the Physical World with You" was Successfully Held

On the occasion of National Science Popularization Day, in order to popularize knowledge of physics science and stimulate the curiosity of the public to explore scientific truth, on September 25th, the "Exploring the Physics World with You" science popularization activity jointly organized by the Chongqing Physics Society, the Chongqing Institute of Engineering Science and Technology Association, and the Chengdu Chongqing Region University Physics Experiment Virtual Teaching and Research Office was successfully held at the Physics Exploration Laboratory of Chongqing Institute of Engineering.

More than 400 people came to the site to visit and study in this science popularization activity. At the same time, the Tiktok live broadcast hosted by Mr. Xiaojin Zhu had more than 600 online audience. The science popularization experts who participated in the live broadcast combined exciting and interesting physical experimental phenomena, using humorous and easy to understand language to explain physics knowledge including mechanics, electricity, magnetism, optics, and their practical applications in daily life to offline and online audiences, stimulating the public's curiosity and imagination to explore scientific truth.

At the beginning of the event, it was favored by a large number of students who rushed to the physics exploration laboratory to participate in the visit. Professor Xinhua Liao from the School of Fundamentals demonstrated the roller type moment of inertia, Coriolis force, fantasy water, and interesting optical physics exhibits, and explained their principles in detail. Associate Professor Shiguo Chen from the School of Fundamentals demonstrated experiments such as the Hogwarts Magic Wall, the Radiant Ball, and the Radiant Disc, and explained the physics principles behind them. Associate Professor Nan Zhang demonstrated his anger and invited students to come on stage to experience the experiment, which sparked their interest in physics. Teacher Yun Li from the Basic College vividly demonstrated the formation of fish washing, visible sound waves, and circular standing waves, and explained in detail the similarities and differences between high school and university experiments. Xueling Peng from the Basic College demonstrated Brewster, solar power generation, and smart homes, and explained their principles in detail. Yongjia Bian, a teacher from the Basic College, led the students to experience the laser piano and played beautiful melodies without the need for piano keys. Huang Haitao, a teacher from the Basic College, demonstrated experiments such as the Yagebu ladder and jumping iron rings, which attracted a large number of students' attention. Chen Yang, a teacher from the Basic College, demonstrated interesting phenomena such as "Fantasy Water" and introduced relevant physics knowledge.LianyanWang , a teacher from the Basic School, explained the principles of elastic collision balls and bouncing magnetic particles, and students expressed their incredible admiration for the physical world.

During the live broadcast, science popularization experts actively interact with the audience, not only guiding them to think, but also answering questions raised by the audience in the comment section on site. Through live interaction, the audience learned a lot about the physics knowledge behind magical phenomena in real life, inspiring their curiosity and imagination to explore scientific truth.
