Our School Is Organizing The "Accelerating College Career" Alumni Lecture Series

Net news (article/picture Career Center QiuqingYe )To further deepen the friendship between alumni and their alma mater, fully leverage the exemplary and leading role of outstanding alumni, and assist current university students in broadening their career perspectives, our school successfully held an online exchange event titled "Accelerating University Life" on the evening of December 25th. This event specially invited Mr. Baihui Li , an outstanding graduate of the 2024 class in Engineering Cost, who is currently an employee at the Southwest Branch of China Water Resources and Hydropower Sixth Engineering Bureau, as the keynote speaker, attracting over 4,000 students from the entire school to actively participate through the E Live platform.

During his time at school, Baihui Li not only won 5 national-level awards, 12 provincial and ministerial-level awards, and as many as 77 school-level awards, but he was also repeatedly honored with titles such as Excellent Student Cadre. He actively participated in national-level innovation and entrepreneurship projects, successfully published 3 academic papers, and led his team to win banners of commendation from the China Siyuan Foundation and the Fujian Disabled Persons' Association. Additionally, he served as a volunteer for the Chongqing wildfire rescue, demonstrating a strong sense of social responsibility.

During the lecture, Baihui Li closely focused on the theme of "Accelerating University Life," providing students with detailed and engaging insights. He emphasized five key aspects: First, he stressed the importance of deeply engaging in academic studies to lay a solid foundation for their careers, encouraging students to cherish their university time, study diligently, and continuously enhance their professional competence. Second, he shared his experiences participating in various academic and comprehensive competitions, encouraging students to actively engage in competitive activities to improve their overall abilities. Third, he suggested that students carefully select extracurricular activities based on their interests and future career plans, choosing clubs that suit them to expand their social networks. Fourth, he highlighted the significance of internships, encouraging students to actively seek internship opportunities during their studies, combining theoretical knowledge with practical workplace experience to gain early exposure to professional life and enhance their career skills.

Baihui Li 's sharing was rich and vivid, winning enthusiastic responses from the students. Everyone expressed that through this event, they gained a clearer understanding and planning for their future career development. The successful holding of this alumni exchange event provided valuable experience and inspiration for the career development of current university students. The school's career guidance center stated that it will continue to hold similar events to create a broader platform for the growth and success of the students.
