Chongqing University of Engineering: "Two Visits and One Appointment" Home Visits, Weaving a "Warm Heart Network" for Home School Joint Education

Heart shining and walking, winter brings warmth. On the road of fully implementing the financial aid policy for students from economically disadvantaged families, Chongqing Institute of Technology has taken the "Two Visits and One Appointment" home visit action as a key focus. From January 10th to 21st, it established 10 offline home visit and comfort work groups consisting of more than 200 leaders, full-time teachers, counselors, and others at all levels. They went deep into the countryside and accurately visited the homes of 93 economically disadvantaged students, delivering warm condolences to each of them.

During the condolence process, teachers sent condolence money, gifts, and carefully selected motivational books to students from economically disadvantaged families. They also gained a detailed understanding of the economic situation of the interviewed students' families, patiently listened to their needs for assistance, carefully recorded and organized every piece of home visit information, and introduced the national and school funding policies, students' comprehensive performance, and school education measures to parents. Vice principals Mingshu Tan,Qionghua Wang,  Jiandong Wang and other relevant school leaders also personally led teams to visit the front line of home visits. They had cordial exchanges with students and encouraged them to forge ahead, study hard, strive for early success, and repay their parents, society and the country even in adversity. Faced with the earnest expectations and warm encouragement of the teachers, the students were full of determination and expressed their determination to live up to their expectations.

In recent years, Chongqing University of Engineering has always placed a prominent position in providing financial assistance to students from economically disadvantaged families, and has made every effort to build a "two in, one agreement" home school co education mechanism. On the one hand, "teachers entering families" carry out home visits to gain a deeper understanding of students' growth backgrounds; On the other hand, "parents entering the school" familiarize themselves with their children's school situation, and the two communicate in a two-way manner, weaving a close and seamless communication and feedback network between home and school, consolidating the educational force with family education as the cornerstone and school education as the core, and providing comprehensive protection for students' healthy growth.
