On March 3rd, Professor Chengfeng Huang, Vice President of Chongqing Jiaotong University, led a research team to visit and exchange ideas with Professor Heng Zhang from the School of Computer and Information Science at Southwest University, in order to deepen inter school cooperation and promote the deep integration of industry, academia, and research.Mingshu Tan, Vice President of Chongqing University of Engineering, attended the meeting. Longfu Zhou, Dean of the School of Software, Haokun Tang, Vice Dean, Xiaotian Liu, Director of the Virtual Simulation R&D Center, Yang Jie, Vice President of Zhaoxin Education Group,Kang Lin, Advisor, and Professor Gang Xu also attended the meeting. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on scientific research project application, commercial project collaboration, and joint talent cultivation.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mingshu Tan introduced the school's development history and educational characteristics to Chengfeng Huang and his delegation. He pointed out that Chongqing University of Engineering has always adhered to the characteristics of "school enterprise cooperation, integration of industry and education", and has achieved significant results in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality in recent years, especially in the field of software technology, forming an integrated development model of "teaching research industry". Mingshu Tan emphasized that this exchange will provide a resource sharing platform for the two schools, promoting interdisciplinary technological breakthroughs and joint talent cultivation.

Subsequently,Longfu Zhou introduced from the dimensions of professional construction, school enterprise cooperation, scientific research innovation, and AI enabled education. He stated that the popularization of AI models has profoundly affected the discipline construction and talent cultivation mode of the Software College, and has also greatly impacted the employment prospects of information graduates. Therefore, in recent years, the Software College has continued to promote the reform of the professional+industry teaching mode, and has formed a number of practical teaching cases. Longfu Zhou mentioned, "AI technology is restructuring the education ecosystem, and we need to explore the school enterprise joint education model with a more open attitude to cultivate compound talents that adapt to the digital age.

Xiaotian Liu presented in detail the core business of the "Lingjing Zhixin" company jointly established by the School of Software and Zhaoxin Education Group. Through on-site demonstrations of AIGC intelligent mapping technology and virtual reality course cases, he intuitively demonstrated how to transform textual descriptions into dynamic 3D scenes and apply them to fields such as transportation planning and industrial simulation. Jie Yang added that the company has developed more than 20 virtual reality teaching projects, covering multiple universities in Chongqing. "In the future, we hope to deepen cooperation with Jiaotong University, Heavy Industry, and Zhaoxin Education to jointly create industry standardized intelligent education products.

Chengfeng Huang proposed a vision for cooperation based on the research needs of the school in the fields of transportation economy and logistics systems. He stated that the Jiaotong University team has long been committed to traffic data analysis and intelligent logistics research, but there is an urgent need to transform abstract data into visual results through intelligent image generation, virtual reality animation, and digital large screen technology to enhance the application value of scientific research achievements.Chengfeng Huang looks forward to forming complementary advantages with the Heavy Industry Software College and Zhaoxin Education Group, jointly applying for national level scientific research projects, and exploring commercial project collaboration mechanisms. In this regard, Heng Zhang analyzed from a technical feasibility perspective that the combination of AIGC and virtual reality technology can effectively solve the pain points of data visualization in the transportation field. It is suggested to promote the implementation of cooperation through the "joint research of topics, joint training of talents, and sharing of achievements" model. The school will integrate internal resources and establish a special working group to promote cooperation details in the future.

This inspection and exchange has laid the foundation for deep cooperation between "two schools and one enterprise". By sharing technological resources and aligning with industry demands, all parties are expected to achieve landmark results in fields such as intelligent transportation, virtual reality education, and digital twins, while also providing high-quality technical talents for the construction of the Chengdu Chongqing dual city economic circle.
