On February 28th, the Teacher Development Center organized a special lecture on "The Application of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education from DeepSeek" at the Academic Lecture Hall of Nanquan Campus. The lecture was given by Dean Qin Li of the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, and attracted 624 teachers from Nanquan Campus to participate.

Qin Li shared four chapters, including the development process and operating mechanism of DeepSeek, the impact of artificial intelligence in higher education, and the challenges for future development; We conducted in-depth discussions on DeepSeek's technological framework, the transformative role of AI in higher education, and our university's active exploration in artificial intelligence application research.

At the end of the lecture, Yeping Zhang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President, gave a concluding speech. He pointed out that AI technology has brought opportunities and challenges to education, and teachers need to actively embrace change. Although AI can replace some basic work, the innovative interaction between teachers and students is irreplaceable.Yeping Zhang emphasized that teachers should deepen their learning of AI technology and integrate it into teaching practice, promote teaching reform, and avoid being eliminated by technology. He also called on all teachers to enhance their AI application capabilities and seize the critical period of educational transformation.

Through this training, teachers have gained a clearer understanding of how artificial intelligence can empower teaching, optimize management, and reshape talent development models. At the same time, facing the decreasing cost of artificial intelligence, the explosion of vertical models, and the popularization of AI, we see broader development space, but we also need to face the challenges of technology implementation and continuously improve AI literacy. The Teacher Development Center stated that it will launch the "AI Empowerment Engineering Series Training" to promote the construction of an intelligent education ecosystem in our school.
