International Culture and Arts Festival - Walking Classroom: British Equestrian Experience Camp Successfully Ended

Net news(article/ picture Innovation Center Siyu Feng) In order to focus on cultivating international talents with an international perspective, the ability to participate in international affairs, and be in line with international standards, the Study Abroad Service Center of Chongqing University of Engineering led 30 international students to the Xiaoqi Equestrian Shuangqiao Longshui Lake Camp on April 16th (last Wednesday) to hold the first International Culture and Arts Festival Equestrian Culture Experience Course. The students completed a transformation from "tightly grasping the reins" to "confidently galloping".

After a brief trip, teachers and students from Nanquan Campus and Shuangqiao Campus arrived at Longshuihu International Camp as scheduled. At the beginning of the event, led by the camp staff, the teachers and students went to the equestrian base in an orderly manner for a visit.

After the visit, the professional coach took out the necessary protective gear for horseback riding and explained to everyone the precautions to be taken during the riding process, as well as the historical origins, international etiquette, and horse habits of equestrianism. It is understood that modern equestrianism originated in the UK and is widely popular in European and American countries. Through wearing helmets and protective gear, students not only learned relevant knowledge, but also experienced the spiritual core of equestrian "horse horse unity" through their first interaction with horses.

Immediately afterwards, the students began their basic riding training, demonstrating standard movements one by one from the leading posture to the techniques of getting on and off the horse, from the reins holding gesture to the key points of leg exertion. Although the students who had their first close encounter with horses were a bit nervous, they gradually improved under the patient guidance of the coach. The tension of the first ride turned into a confident smile, and the students on horseback gradually mastered the rhythm. Their straight backs and focused eyes showed a unique charm.

The equestrian and shooting performance at the finale pushed the event to a climax! The coaching team rode their horses to complete various difficult movements, with a confident and heroic posture of galloping and drawing bows and arrows, which received continuous applause from the audience and caused waves of astonishment. At the end of the event, everyone sat around to enjoy tea and relieve the fatigue of horseback riding for their classmates, chatting about their experiences. A classmate exclaimed, "Equestrianism taught me patience and trust, which cannot be learned in textbooks

It is understood that the staff of our school's study abroad service center have also made sufficient preparations for this equestrian cultural experience activity. They contacted the venue design and experience section in advance, and communicated with the coaching team to ensure that students did not have any safety accidents during the experience process. Teacher Xiao, the person in charge, said, "The equestrian culture experience class is a walking classroom. We hope that international students can broaden their horizons, increase their knowledge, and have a certain understanding of British equestrian through the experience. Equestrian not only brings students technical experience, but also the spirit of a galloping horse.

Riding a horse, one can see heaven and earth, as well as oneself. This equestrian experience camp is not only a sports challenge, but also a cultural and growth feast. This type of activity aims to broaden students' international horizons through immersive experiences, and in the future, international projects such as golf and coffee roasting will be introduced. The study abroad service center will continue to launch more international activities to help students step onto the world stage.
