The 11th "Reading Festival" Series of Activities of Chongqing University of Engineering Has Opened

Net news (article/picture by Mengjiao Deng)In order to celebrate the 30th World Book Day, enrich the cultural life of all teachers and students, create a strong atmosphere for the book festival, and build a campus reading culture with "heavy industry characteristics", the 11th "Smart Enjoyment of Intangible Cultural Heritage 'Chongqing' Reading Sea" themed book festival of Chongqing University of Technology opened on April 16th.

On the day of the opening ceremony, the library set up a digital resource promotion platform and invited representatives from 23 database resource providers to the venue to receive various inquiries from readers, and distributed learning materials and promotional brochures. The College Student Image Management Service Center has set up on-site intangible cultural heritage experience projects such as "recognizing herbs to make sachets" and making twisted sticks, as well as multiple fun activities such as Chinese chess and Go games, which have been warmly welcomed by readers. Vice President Wang Qionghua personally attended the opening ceremony and had cordial exchanges with representatives of resource providers and teachers and students, advocating and encouraging students to actively participate in campus activities.

It is reported that the 11th Reading Festival will last until early June. The series of activities for this reading festival includes four major themes: "Reading and Resource Theme Activities", "Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance and Experience Activities", "Information Literacy Series Competition", and "Original Works Collection Competition", with more than 20 activities. Teachers and students of the whole school are welcome to participate actively.
