The Project of the School of Computer and Internet of Things won the "Bronze Award" of the First Sichuan-Chongqing University Student Volunteer Service Project Competition in 2025

Net news (article/picture Youth League Committee Jun Zhang) On June 12th, the final of the first Sichuan-Chongqing University Student Volunteer Service Project Competition in 2025 ended at Chongqing Mobile University. The School of Computer and Internet of Things won the "Bronze Award" for its innovative technology and solid results, demonstrating the deep integration of disciplinary advantages and social services.

Launched in April, the competition attracted 682 projects from 163 universities in Sichuan and Chongqing, covering 14 categories. After university recommendation, online preliminary review, and offline semi-finals, 90 projects advanced to the finals. At the finals, 18 expert judges passed the "roadshow defense" and comprehensively evaluated the service objectives and other dimensions. The participating teams focused on social hotspots and demonstrated the responsibility of Sichuan and Chongqing youth.
According to Tian Hao, the instructor of the School of Computer and Internet of Things, the team combined professional knowledge with actual needs and integrated digital innovation when preparing for the competition. Since 2023, the college has been co-built with Xinyu Village, Jieshi Town, Banan District, and has built systems such as health records and care for the empty-nest elderly. In this award-winning project, the team built an intelligent system to realize abnormal alarm and other functions for the pain points of rural security and people's livelihood, which was well received by the villagers.
This honor is not only an affirmation of our school's volunteer service, but also encourages teachers and students to contribute wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of Sichuan and Chongqing with hard work. In the future, the school will continue to build a practice platform to help students develop, guide young people to devote themselves to rural revitalization through volunteer service, practice new ideas, and make contributions to the new era.
