To further enhance the legal awareness of graduates and strengthen the legal defense line, on June 4th, the school's employment guidance center invited Lawyer Mingyan He from Chongqing Junhang Law Firm to hold a lecture on "Protection of Graduates' Job Seeking Rights and Occupational Risk Prevention", attracting more than 2100 students from the whole school to participate.
Mingyan He is a practical expert in the field of labor law, serving as a part-time arbitrator at the Liangjiang New Area Labor Dispute Arbitration Institute and a mediator at the Municipal People's Mediation Association, with rich experience in handling labor disputes.
Firstly, Mingyan He clarified the legal boundary between the internship period and the probationary period by combining the case of "college student Xiao Liu's illegal agreement on compensation during the probationary period", and provided a detailed interpretation of the probationary period regulations, salary standards, and legal consequences of illegal agreements. Subsequently, she introduced the basic labor rights, special protection situations, and key points of labor contract management during her employment. Then, she introduced the compliance procedures, economic compensation standards, and consequences of illegal termination for voluntary resignation and forced resignation. Finally, Mingyan He systematically sorted out the rights protection paths such as labor arbitration, legal aid, administrative complaints, and legal litigation, emphasizing the importance of evidence collection, and providing specific legal response suggestions based on typical workplace rights protection scenarios such as contract disputes, wage arrears, and unfair dismissal, combined with the provisions of the Labor Contract Law and practical experience.
In the interactive session, Mingyan He answered one by one the hot topics of concern to students, such as "Is it legal to extend the probation period without reason" and "How to obtain evidence of wage arrears after resignation", guiding students to transform legal knowledge into workplace survival skills.
This lecture, through professional legal interpretation and typical case analysis, helped graduates build a systematic framework of workplace legal knowledge, laying an important legal foundation for students who are about to embark on their career path.
